Little William lived for only 11 days before dying from heart abnormalities.
Even though he lived for 11 short days, little William Brentlinger was considered a miracle. Doctors believed the baby boy, a twin, would be stillborn after discovering heart abnormalities. But when Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger welcomed their two children to the world on December 17, both looked wide-eyed and beautiful.
Parents Lyndsay and Matthew Brentlinger, of Northwood, Ohio, said they found out at 23 weeks that William would be still-born, 13abc reported.
“With twins you have frequent ultrasounds,” Lyndsay told the news channel. “They said we just see something abnormal with the heart and sent me to maternal fetal medicine.”
Lyndsay said the left side of his heart wasn’t functioning when he was born, and “he just had a bunch of abnormalities.”
As a heartfelt Christmas gift, family friend Mandy Edward reached out to photographer Lindsey Brown for a last-minute session. Luckily, she found space in her busy schedule for a special shoot.
Rest in peace, little William.
