Passionate and hobbyist photographer for 10 years, 29-year-old Michael Schwan from Germany is a student of material technology. He loves to capture Abandoned and Decay, so he can showcase the world that is left unseen or unnoticed.
Michael got the idea of capturing abandoned places as a teenager. “It had been an adventure to visit such forbidden places”, tells Michael to LAA. Michael now loves that its like a time capsule and you imagine how people have lived as before. Michael tells that it fascinates him to see how nature reverts when the man has gone.
Here are some amazing photos of places people have forgotten and left behind.
Michael tells LAA that his curiosity to look behind closed doors and find some great spots is the motivation for him and his project. “The search for lost places is quite difficult”, he adds.
“We “Urban Explorers” do not provide information about the Location because we would like to protect them against thieves and vandalism”, he tells and adds that for new places you have to use google and search for it. You will also find a lot if you drive through the area and keep your eyes open. He also said that friends are also a good source of information.
Michael is now looking for new locations across Europe. He tells that he has already found some morbid treasures that someone has just left behind.
