Sony today announced the new Alpha 9 flagship with and a new G Master telephoto lens. The Alpha 9’s cherry on top is a new digital 35mm full-frame stacked 24.2MP CMOS sensor, with 20fps continuous shooting. It will be available next month. When it comes to fast focusing the Alpha 9 packs in 693 AF points that cover 93% of the sensor.

Known to be World’s First1 full-frame stacked CMOS sensor, 24.2 MP2 resolution, It houses Dual SD card slots and extended battery lifea and 5-Axis in-body image stabilization that offers 5 stops of correction.

The camera has a 1280 x 960 (QuadVGA) resolution viewfinder that runs at 120 fps.

For video the Sony Alpha 9 looks interesting too with significantly reduced rolling shutter skew and 6K sensor readout for full frame 4K with no crop in 24p and 25p (Although in 30p there is an additional crop of the sensor).

Along with the full frame full pixel readout 4K mode, the camera features a 1080/120fps slow & quick mode which also does not crop the full frame sensor.
